Yesterday (June 14, 2016) the Los Angeles County  Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to ask the California Assembly and Senate to urge the Governor to declare a state of emergency due to California’s homeless crisis.  The joint Board motion by Supervisors Ridley-Thomas and Kuehl is attached. An online petition has also been created to urge Governor Jerry Brown to take this action. Please forward the link to your networks and post to social media. We need to get this message out broadly.
